With spring being here, it’s time to ditch the puffer jackets and Ugg boots and incorporate some color into our wardrobes after a long, dull winter. So many new trends are emerging this season, as well as timeless pieces that are continuing to make appearances.

Here are 6 spring staples to bring your wardrobe back to life.

Lime Green

Pastel and vibrant colors are quintessential to spring every season. Lime green is a front runner in this category and has been everywhere recently. The great thing about this trend is that it can be styled in so many different ways. Adding a pop of color, such as a bag or shoes to any outfit is an easy way to elevate it. Going for the monochromatic look using one color is also a great move. No matter what your style is, you can always add color.

These strappy heels from Lulu’s are a perfect example of this trend. They could dress up a casual outfit or add a pop of color to a dressier look.

Mini Skirts

This next trend originated from the 90s and early 2000s and has recently made its comeback. As the weather gets warmer, there are fewer baggy jeans and sweats and more shorts and skirts. Although this trend might not be for everyone, there are ways to wear it that fit your personal style. For example, I love pairing girly pieces, such as a miniskirt, with more masculine elements like an oversized shirt or blazer.

The Lola miniskirt from Princess Polly is an essential part of spring/summer wardrobes. It’s available in so many colors and can be styled an endless number of ways.

Halter Necks

This beachy style of top has been a timeless piece for every spring and summer season. The strappy look gives it a unique edge that can be paired with so many outfits. Throw it over a bikini after a day at the beach or grab a halter top dress and oversized blazer for a nice dinner. This trend gives a classy yet chic look that is perfect for so many occasions.

This halter neck tank from Revolve can be worn in so many ways and dressed up or down. The neutral black with white straps allows for a pop of color however you choose to accessorize.

Low Rise

This early 2000s trend is making a comeback this spring season, and boy it is taking the world by storm. Get rid of those high-waisted bottoms and trade them in for this retro style that will transport you back to the Lizzie McGuire days with the snap of a finger. With the more body-positive atmosphere that we have created in 2022, everyone can rock this trend and feel confident doing so.

Check out these straight low cargo jeans from H&M. They come in your classic denim material and a fun checkered purple print. Wear these with a crop top to show off your figure and embrace your confidence.

Bras as Tops

This is a trend that has been popping from the Fendi runway to the streets of New York City. With the warmer months approaching us, this is an ideal fashion choice for people to sport while running some errands or hanging out with some friends. If you want some more coverage in the chest area, try a longline bralette with a high neck. This way, you can stay cool, but you also get the benefit of coverage.

This bra can be worn as a top, and it is so dang cute! This also offers enough support that you do not have to wear something underneath.

Butter Yellow

As the weather becomes warmer, the dandelions begin to bloom, and they are the color of our next trend. Butter yellow is such an iconic color, and it has been popping up all over the place. This bright and refreshing color can be paired with a more neutral tone, so that it stands out for the eye to see.

These yellow sweatpants from H&M incorporate two of my favorite things- the color yellow and sweatpants! Wear these on a chillier day in March or April while still sporting a fun pop of color.
