Whether you’ve decided to get in shape, tidy your garage or prepare for the year ahead, we’ve rounded up the best products to purchase in January with lots of deals (check saving money and planning smart off your new years list!)

Christmas Decor

The best time to buy holiday supplies is always right after the holiday is over. Be ahead of the game for next year by taking inventory of your Christmas wrapping paper, decorations and artificial trees as you’re packing them up- is there anything you need for next year? For the best deals and the best selection on all things fitness, from apparel to equipment, January is the time to build up your fitness supply. With New Years Resolutions, retailers have plenty of deals on everything you need to reach your fitness goals. You’ll also find that retailers have the largest selection in January as they roll out new collections, especially online fashion retailers like Old Navy (which is now offering up to 50% off activewear). Amazon and Target are also offering discounts on fitness equipment if you’re looking to build up your home gym, which we predicted will be a consumer trend in 2021 in this post on why at-home workouts are here to stay.

Organization Products

Right next to fitness, home organization is another popular New Years resolution for consumers and retailers jump on the opportunity to discount various kitchen, closet and bath organization and storage products. For bigger project organization such as a garage or basement, Home Depot and Lowe’s have deals on heavy duty storage bins or shelving units. 

Bedding and Bath Linens

Sheets, throw pillows, bedding and more bedroom and bath essentials are typically on sale during January, thanks to White Sales that actually date back to January 1878 (fun fact: they’re called “White Sales” because when they first began, only white linens were on sale). Check out stores (in person or online) like Bed Bath and Beyond and Target for discounts on these items.

Wellness Products

Going hand in hand with fitness equipment and activewear, wellness products like vitamins, protein powder and supplements are also discounted during the month of January. What better way to accompany your new fitness routine with a multivitamin? Especially this year, many consumers have decided to take their health more seriously and are looking to these wellness products for a little help. Target has 25% off select vitamins and look for “special deal”, “rollback” or “reduced price” on Walmart’s selection of wellness products.
