Consumer $ense wasn’t always our name. Dr. Audrey Guskey’s first take at informing consumers originated with At Your Service,a 2-minute consumer tips and trends video series that aired daily on Pittsburgh’s PCNC’s 10:00 p.m. daily news (WPXI/NBC cable affiliate).
Consumer $ense, a 60-second consumer tips 21 part video series which streamed on Comcast’s FYI and On Demand which was sponsored by Duquesne University’s School of Business.
Consumer $ense grew to a 30-minute weekly TV series on PCNC, the cable affiliate of Pittsburgh NBC channel, which included guests, games, and gadgets. The C$ television series aired three times per week producing 14 original shows and produced by Capture Productions. Iron City Beer/Pittsburgh Brewing was the sponsor.
The Consumer $ense series was launched online and aired for five years on Comcast On Demand, with an innovative Video On Demand Technology (VODT). Sponsored by ALDI, 5-minute videos were housed on Comcast On Demand and promoted through 525 corresponding commercials per month which aired on Lifetime, Travel Channel, The Weather Channel, FOX News, Food Network, CNBC, AMC, E!, HLN, and NFL Network in the Pittsburgh market.
Consumer $ense gave birth to the Dream Team and is managed by the Dream Team – an enthusiastic and gifted group of students who are videographers, editors, bloggers, and creatives. (draudreyguskey.com)
